MAKING II is the second in a series following the Making In event which takes place each September at Joseph Walsh Studio, Co. Cork and features conversations with designer and maker Joseph Walsh, NARIKOMA-YA Kabuki Actor Shikan Nakamura VIII, Architect Shigeru Ban, Architects Sheila O’Donnell + John Tuomey, Basketmaker Joe Hogan, Designer and MakerJohn Makepeace, Landscape Architect and Stonemason Hiroyuki Tsujii, Master Wheelwright Greg Rowland, Founder and Chief Designer of Pagani Automobili, Horacio Pagani and Couturier and Artist Iris van Herpen.
The film also follows the creation of Magnus RINN, a monumental outdoor sculpture created for the Ireland Pavilion at Expo Osaka 2025 from it's beginnings at Joseph Walsh's Studio via the Fonderia Artistica Mariani, Pietrasanta, Italy on to it's installation in Osaka in Spring 2025.
